Ep 83: Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) Recap & Review!
Wednesday Jul 10, 2019
Wednesday Jul 10, 2019
The second installment of Holland’s web-slinging hero brings back the heart, humor, and spectacle of the first whilst turning the knob on the stakes way up. Now that MCU's Spider-Man has swung back into theaters and into our hearts, was the film any good?
FFH follows Tom Holland aka Peter Parker tries to navigate life post Avengers:Endgame. For the first time since his introduction, Spider-Man seems to not want the responsibility placed on him as the “next Tony Stark”, he just wants to be a regular kid. Luckily, on a tour of Europe, he finds a mentor in the form of Quentin Beck’s Mysterio, but as we learn in Far From Home, things are more than likely not what they seem!

Wednesday Jun 05, 2019
Wednesday Jun 05, 2019
Arguably the most adapted comic book story ever, The Dark Phoenix Saga is story of absolute power corrupting absolutely. Written years before such classics like Watchmen, Secret Wars, & The Dark Knight Returns, the Saga itself is emotional, daring, and the quintessential X-Men Story. From being adapted in X-Men The Last Stand, to its animated interpretation in the 90’s it was important to go back to the actual comic issues that made all of those worth it. Join us as Chris Claremont and John Byrne read us the most traumatic bedtime story ever, the always exceptional Dark Phoenix Saga.

Ep 76: Cosmic Ghost Rider Vol.1: Baby Thanos Must Die (2018)
Wednesday May 22, 2019
Wednesday May 22, 2019
When an alternate universe Frank Castle was on Death’s door after a battle with Thanos, he had one wish.... “I would give ANYTHING to PUNISH that purple Son of a B*%$#”. That was all the demonic Mephisto needed to hear to make a deal with Frank and make him the Ghost Rider aka the Spirit of Vengeance. Since then it has been quite a long journey for Castle, as he became the herald of Galactus, was embued with the power cosmic, and became the Black Right Hand of The Mad King.
Fast forward to his defeat by the hands of the Silver Surfer, and you have the beginning of Cosmic Ghost Rider Vol. 1 Baby Thanos Must Die. This 5 issue miniseries written by Donny Cates with art by Dylan Burnett is beautifully insane in its concepts and tragically amusing with its premise as a time traveling Frank Castle tries to murder Baby Thanos before he can’t grow up to be the Mad Titan and worse, The Mad King.
